What People Say

PPRV did it again today! The Native Plant sale is always a great shopping experience combined with seeing many friends from the community. Many of them were fellow Land Stewards. The social interactions and hugs were as great as the thrill of finding many native plants that I'd long hoped would appear on vendors' plant lists, including PPRV's, over the many plant sales PPRV has hosted in Spring and Fall. It would be terrific if PPRV could have more nursery space to offer even more native plants to the public in the Rogue Valley, a region where there are so many endemic plants waiting to be discovered.

We also enjoyed experiencing a few blocks of downtown Phoenix, with elaborate, substantial chicken salads from Phoodery's Peruvian Point, amazing beer, cheese samples and couple of intriguing cheeses to take home from The Oregon Cheese Cave, and stunningly good and rich lattes from the Phoenix Dripp Cafe which we enjoyed outside, sitting amongst plants and flowers planted by PPRV.

For us, it was rare time off, and welcome, from the plants
waiting to go into our own native plant garden in the next
few days, to the great lunch and memories of tasting cheeses
and bringing home a couple to enjoy.

Spring 2025

As a child of seven or eight, I fell in love with ornamental gardening, after a visit to Butchart Gardens. While I am devoted to classic English border gardens, I realized only a decade or so ago that I needed to expand my plant list to help birds and bees. To my chagrin, it took your butterfly class last month to expand my awareness of plants that can feed or host butterflies (beyond asters and milkweed.). My hope is that the contribution will help other young gardeners gain the awareness that I did not have.

I love the work ya'll do and think the organization does a fabulous job providing clear, concise education to the community on the importance of nativeplants & their fellow pollinators. Newsletters are always a joy to read & provide all the information I would ever want to know about the organization and upcoming events. I see PPRV ALWAYS making an effort to stay relevant and participate in community events. I appreciate the passion PPRV and all the volunteers bring to the community. Good work!!

To all native plants and pollinators establishing in southwest Oregon
